Observa is a technology startup that developed a solution for monitoring and tracking people in hospital environments. The platform aims to provide managers with data on the occupation of spaces by patients and professionals, allowing for the optimization of environments and increased revenue. The project was structured using Amazon AWS and Cloudflare services, with a multi-client architecture to optimize costs and maintenance.
The Observa solution is based on the identification of people through tags (labels or badges) that are captured by fixed antennas installed in the hospital. The movement information is sent via JSON to the solution’s API.
The project began with a focus on the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and, after delivery, improvements were requested by the client. The implementation at the pilot client took place in August 2025, with a very positive reception.
The platform features “Observa Intelligence,” a chatbot named Vera (Strategic Vision for Activity Recognition). Using the OpenAI API, Vera allows users to ask questions in natural language and obtain analysis of movement and behavior data. Vera translates complex information into simple answers, assisting in decision-making and a deep understanding of observed patterns.
The partnership with Observa and the delivery of the MVP solution allowed the company to quickly validate its value proposition and get positive feedback from the pilot client. The platform has proven effective in generating indicators and metrics that empower managers to make more strategic decisions, optimizing the use of hospital environments and, consequently, increasing revenue. The next steps include developing new features and consolidating the solution’s intelligence to deliver even greater value to clients
